Regional Compliance Consultant

Package: Negotiable salary + car allowance + benefits

Location: North of England (field-based / remote)

PURPOSE OF ROLE

Our client, a growing network business supporting independent broker partners, is looking to strengthen its compliance team as the business continues to expand its services and support offering. You'll be one of the friendly, trusted faces of the compliance function, offering practical advice and guidance to network partner brokers and helping to ensure everything runs smoothly across the region. This role involves being out on the road regularly, visiting partner brokers across the North of England, so you'll need to be comfortable travelling and hold a full driving licence, as some locations aren't well served by public transport.

RESPONSIBILITIES

●      Acting as a trusted point of contact for network partner brokers on all things compliance-related.

●      Carrying out health-check visits in line with partner brokers' business services agreements, assessing their compliance with regulatory requirements.

●      Supporting partner brokers in meeting their regulatory obligations, while recognising that ultimate responsibility for compliance sits with the broker.

●      Monitoring compliance action plans arising from health checks and escalating any unresolved issues to line management and the senior team.

DAY-TO-DAY

●      Providing expert advice and guidance on FCA regulation to network partner brokers.

●      Conducting regular health-check and regulatory visits across the region.

●      Updating and tracking action plans following visits, chasing progress where needed.

●      Flagging brokers who aren't engaging with required actions to senior stakeholders.

●      Travelling regularly across the North of England to meet partner brokers face to face.

EXPERIENCE

●      Prior compliance experience is essential, gained from either an Insurer or Broker background.

●      A solid understanding of FCA rules and procedures.

●      Educated to a relevant level, ideally degree level or with progress towards CII qualifications.

●      A full, valid driving licence, with the flexibility to travel regularly.

SKILLS

●      Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and video.

●      Strong stakeholder management, building trust and rapport with a range of partner brokers.

●      Good analytical and reasoning skills, able to assess compliance risk accurately.

●      Confident using IT systems and adapting to new tools and processes.

BENEFITS

●      A negotiable basic salary, car allowance, and a benefits package set to grow alongside the business.

●      Support and funding towards professional qualifications and personal development.

●      A culture built on honesty, trust and putting clients first.

●      Strong career development opportunities as the business continues to grow.
